Maku | Okami Stitched Coat in White
Details
This is quite a duster coat of dreams if we do say so. Made of beautiful textiles, this piece is entirely hand-stitched throughout. The outer fabric is a lovely silk with a subtle sheen, and the inner fabric is a light striped cotton. There is a button up front with knotted loop closures. The coat is tailored beautifully which creates a wonderful a-line flare when worn.
About Maku
Maku is a conceptual fashion brand rooted in the philosophy of its founder director Santanu Das... At Maku the textile takes the front seat... The brand offers exclusively designed garments from the fiber to the rack using only hand-spun and hand-woven textiles in Indigo... The label believes in the slow fashion of handloom and organically produced textiles manufactured using indigenous practices - hand spun and hand woven - intrinsically bringing into focus India’s textile history... Maku designs are contextual to the community, practices, and individual skill sets. The brand works closely with Jamdani weaving clusters in West Bengal and is sensitive to the weaving history of its weaver community...
