One Again

We have been making The Skirt Chronicles for almost five years now, always organically, building a publication we are looking forward to reading ourselves twice a year. It sometimes feels as though we are watching it being made before our own eyes, naturally unfolding with its own tenderness and self.

Fully embodied for the first time by Charlotte Rampling, we chose to show a face and a pair of eyes on the cover. The face of she who illuminates what it means to be a woman. The Skirt Chronicles aspire everyday to the elegance, grace, and strong will she emanates.

The elegance of Setsuko’s Bureau, the Graces of Ofelia’s poetry, and the strong will found in The Archer. Building upon traditions with Kengo, looking up in Beaugrenelle, and exploring Hydra with the Mardens, Volume VIII ebbs and flows like cryptocurrency.

Granting the same importance to photography as it does to the written word, The Skirt Chronicles is a title exploring literature, fashion, culture and beyond."

We are so happy to bring back this wonderful publication to the shop.  Starting in 2017, this biannual literary magazine is bound to keep you thinking and pondering.
